Microsoft has dropped the last year’s presentation style to focus in on delivering game announcements this year. And they announced a lot of them. Here is a short breakdown of each one.

It started with Forza Motorsport 7, and it looked gorgeous. It’s an Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusive, and it releases on October 3rd.

Following it up was an anticipated title for me in Metro Exodus. This will be the first entry in the series where seems the outdoors will be traversable for periods of time. It’s coming in 2018.

Next was Assassin’s Creed Origins and it will be the origin story of the assassin’s. It takes place in ancient Egypt and has an overhauled gameplay system. In the video we see gear slots and leveling up leading to talent points, we do not get a look at the talent tree however. It releases on October 27th.

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds was next and will be launching exclusive on consoles for Xbox One later this year.

As an Xbox One console launch exclusive Deep Rock Galactic was next. You can already play this in early access on Steam.

As an Xbox and Windows 10 exclusive Microsoft showed State of Decay 2. It will also be a “play anywhere” title which means if you buy it on Xbox you’ll get the PC release for free with it. It releases Spring of 2018.

Next, we have another Xbox One Console Launch Exclusive in The Darwin Project which seems to be an esports focused Player Unknown’s style of game. it will also be released on Windows 10.

Minecraft was next and Mojang announced their new plans of cross-integrating every version of it available. So, PC can play with Switch and mobile versions in cross play. They will also be releasing community created content on consoles. This will be happening this Summer. In the Fall they are giving a free 4K update to Minecraft as well as what they are calling “The Super Duper Graphics Pack”.

Next they showed another game I’m very much looking forward to, Dragonball Fighter Z. A 2.5D 3v3 fighter made by the Guilty Gear team using the Xrd engine. It will be coming out in early 2018.

Another Xbox Console Launch Exclusive was next and was the MMORPG Black Desert.

Then we have yet another Xbox One Console Launch Exclusive in the graphicly awesome The Last Night. It will also be on PC.

The next Xbox One Console Launch Exclusive was the trippy and Sgt. Peppers lookalike The Artful Escape with the announced release date of “Coming when it’s damn ready”.

Next was the action game CodeVein which is coming in 2018. The anime style of character design looked unique in this style of game and I’ll be interested to see if it is just another “Souls” clone.

The next segment was an extended gameplay showcase of Sea of Thieves, the game looks great and fun and I can’t wait to play this with three friends. It’s coming early 2018.

We again have another Xbox One Console Launch Exclusive with Full Bright’s long anticipated, delayed, and completely reworked Tacoma which finally has a concrete release date of August 2nd.

An Xbox One Console Exclusive World Premier was next with Super Lucky’s Tale. A game that was originally made and released exclusively for the Oculus Rift and has seemingly done away with the VR and we are left with a character platforming game. It will be coming to PC as well and is a play anywhere title. It has a release date of November 7th.

Another Xbox One Console Exclusive was next and was the long-anticipated title of Cuphead. The classic cartoon platformer that was shown 2-3 years ago and not really mentioned since. Well, it has a release of September 29th now, I hope it plays as good as it looks.

The next game was an Xbox One & Windows 10 Exclusive Crackdown 3. The first game was a fantastic surprise and an excellent superhero cop game. The second was too much of the same and not nearly as good. Hopefully this one returns to the original and we get another amazing game. It has a release date of November 7th.

Next, we have a montage of games. Some I don’t recognize at all, others I do. Some are already out and some are not. The titles shown were Osiris: New Dawn, Raiders of the Broken Fleet, Unruly Heroes, Path of Exile, Battleright, Surviving Mars, Fable Fortune, >OBSERVER_, Robocraft Infinity, Dunk Lords, Minion Masters, Brawlout, Ooblets, Dark and Light, Strange Brigade, Riverbond, Hello Neighbor, Shift, and Conan Exiles.

After the montage we have an Xbox One Console Launch Exclusive Ashen. It’s hard to tell much from the trailer but it seems to have an interesting atmosphere and art style which is reminiscent of Massive Chalice.

Next we have the world premiere of Life is Strange 2 Before the Storm, which I cannot wait for. It is a prequel to the first game and you seemingly play as Rachel. Can’t wait to play this one. Episode 1 of 3 comes out August 31st.

Next up we see Monolith Production’s Middle Earth: Shadow of War. It’s a pretty extended preview so if you’re interested seek it out. It releases on October 10th. I am very excited for this one as I got very into the first and this seems to have added a lot of in depth systems I can’t wait to play around with.

The next game is an Xbox and Windows 10 exclusive world premiere. It’s Ori and the Will of the Wisps which is a sequel to the excellent Ori and the Blind Forest. It was shown pretty late into the presenatation and I’m surprised that it got such a prime spot to be honest with you.

Last up we have an extended gameplay look at Bioware’s new IP Anthem. It appears to be a Destiny like small group PVE game with mech suits and jet packs. It looks really gorgeous and seems fun to play, I’ll definitely be interested in checking this one out.

That’s all for Microsoft. But E3 is just gettings started. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter four our recaps of the Bethesda, Ubisoft, Sony, and Nintendo press conferences later this week.
